Job Title: Full-Time Construction Township LaborerTownship: Liverpool TownshipDepartment: Road Department/ Building MaintenanceReports To: Road Superintendent / ForemanEmployment Status: Full-TimeJob Summary:The Full-Time Township Laborer for Liverpool Township performs a variety of manual labor and semi-skilled duties in support of township operations. This position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of township roads, buildings, parks, grounds, and other municipal infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient public services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, shoveling, sweeping, loading, and unloading materialsAssist with road maintenance such as pothole repair, grading, paving, and tree trimmingOperate township vehicles and equipment including mowers, tractors, loaders, dump trucks, and snowplowsMaintain township buildings, parks, cemeteries, and grounds through mowing, trimming, landscaping, and general repairsPerform snow and ice removal operations, including emergency and on-call response during winter weather eventsInstall and maintain traffic control, road signs, and barricadesAssist with stormwater, and drainage maintenance as assignedConduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of tools, vehicles, and equipmentFollow all safety regulations, township policies, and work proceduresPerform other related duties as assigned by the Road Superintendent or Township officialsQualifications:Education & Experience:High school diploma or GEDPrior experience in public works, construction, maintenance, or a related field preferred but not requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditionsKnowledge of basic hand and power toolsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable, punctual, and safety-consciousLicenses & Certifications:Valid Ohio driver’s license requiredCDL Class B preferredAbility to obtain required licenses, safety and equipment certificationsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 50–90 poundsFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbingAbility to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and weather conditionsWork Schedule:Full-time position, typically weekdaysEarly mornings, overtime, weekends, and emergency callouts may be required, particularly for snow removal and severe weather eventsBenefits:Liverpool Township offers a benefits package for full-time employees.Starting pay $23.00 HR.
