Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Kitchen/Food Prep associate to join our team. This role consists of preparing fresh food items and making cold-pressed juices in a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, following recipes and maintaining high standards for food quality and safety. *Position is required to hold a Food Protection Certificate.

Duties

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and standards (sandwiches, smoothies, salads, pastries, etc.)
• Portion, label and store prepared foods properly
• Assist with daily prep lists to ensure food is ready for service
• Maintain consistency, presentation and quality of all food items
• Wash, prep and juice fresh fruits and vegetables
• Monitor juice yields, ingredient usage and waste
• Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen at all times
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and health department standards
• Clean and sanitize equipment, tools and workstations
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and ingredient rotation
• Communicate prep needs and low stock items to management
• Work efficiently during prep and service periods
• Support front-of-house staff as needed
• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Maintain a positive, team oriented attitude

Experience

• Prior kitchen, food prep, or juice bar experience preferred (but willing to train the right person)
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Comfortable working with kitchen equipment and juicers
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual and organized
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, serving procedures, and proper food handling practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Must have a food protection certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
