Field Access and Inspection Assistant
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Field-Based)
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week guaranteed (Weekly task list provided; flexible routing within specified time windows)
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Field Assistant to provide scheduled access to units for prospective residents, on-site property showings and routine field inspections in and around Salt Lake City. This is an excellent and flexible entry-level opportunity. A 1099 engagement comes with no benefits or tax withholdings where a W-9 is required. You will need to show proof of current auto insurance before the first assignment. This is a field-only role focused strictly on property access, conducting showings, and documenting property conditions. All administrative decisions, leasing terms, pricing, applications, and maintenance approvals are handled directly by our central office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Property Showings: Provide access to units for prospective residents and professionally walk them through the physical space.
- Property Inspections & Audits: Conduct routine vacant unit checks, HOA common area walkthroughs, and key/lockbox audits.
- Field Documentation: Take clear refresh photos of properties and complete digital condition reports via smartphone.
- On-Site Logistics: Place or refresh directional signage and post physical notices at properties as assigned.
Hard Requirements
- Licensing & Vehicle: Valid Utah driver's license and a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
- Technology: Smartphone with a high-quality camera capable of consistent photo documentation and mobile reporting.
- Availability: Regular weekday availability to cover assigned properties and flexible time windows.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a standard background check prior to engagement.
