The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with hearing, speech, language, and swallowing issues based on medical diagnoses and physician orders, following accepted standards of practice.

They apply growth and development principles to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, collaborating with diverse individuals including patients, families, physicians, and staff to promote teamwork.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, a CCC from ASHA (or completing CFY), a valid state license, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have at least six months of related experience.
