Travel RN – Operating Room
Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care by functioning as both
circulator
and
scrub
for a variety of surgical procedures. Coordinate closely with
surgeons
and
anesthesia
teams to ensure safe, efficient operative care.
Key Duties
- Assess patients preoperatively and intraoperatively and respond to clinical needs during procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, safety standards, and facility protocols.
- Document patient care and perioperative activities in the EMR.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to support coordinated patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education related to perioperative care.
- Current RN licensure and demonstrated perioperative/OR experience.
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing, infection control, and operating room safety practices.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining patient-focused care.
- Proficient documentation skills and comfort using an electronic medical record (EMR).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to partner with surgical and anesthesia teams.
