Role Overview:
This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level, ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans including neuro, body, and extremity protocols following radiologist guidelines.
- Prepare, position, and explain procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
- Administer IV contrast and venous access as directed.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment, conduct quality control tests, and report malfunctions.
- Enter data into imaging systems, process images, and identify anatomy accurately.
- Assist with supply management and act as a radiology liaison to support physicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and organization policies.
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent, with specific certifications required upon hire.
- Graduation from a radiologic technology training program.
- Ability to perform imaging procedures, handle non-controlled medications, and operate imaging systems.
- Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
