Role Overview:
This position supports physicians in the Interventional Radiology Department, assisting with procedures, equipment operation, and patient care. The role involves obtaining patient histories, explaining procedures, assisting during interventions, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring radiation safety. Responsibilities include scheduling, maintaining equipment and supplies, performing imaging reconstructions, and responding to emergencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree, ARRT-RT certification, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull 150 lbs, and wear lead aprons for extended periods. Essential skills include excellent communication, confidentiality, crisis management, customer service, and proficiency with electronic health records.
