The Surgical PA Service is seeking a full-time, board-certified Physician Assistant to join a hospital-based team with exposure to multiple surgical subspecialties.
Responsibilities include OR first assist across various specialties, daily patient rounding, managing consults and admissions, and night call coverage for emergent cases.
Additional duties involve bedside procedures such as NG tube placement, wound care, and bedside I&D. There is limited cross-coverage with other medical center PA services.
Work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts weekly, including one weekend per month, with extensive onboarding and a collaborative environment.
Qualifications include NCCPA certification, surgical experience or residency training preferred, but new graduates and nurse practitioners with surgical background are considered.
Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $165,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and CME allowances. This position offers eligibility for federal student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
