Role Description The Regional Director of Dining is a full-time, on-site role based in Philadelphia, PA, overseeing dining operations across assigned facilities in the region. This position is responsible for leading and mentoring dining managers and teams, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food service that aligns with regulatory standards and company policies. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing menus and nutrition standards, monitoring food safety and sanitation practices, managing budgets, and optimizing purchasing and inventory. The role involves conducting regular site visits, auditing dining operations, implementing best practices, and driving resident satisfaction with meal service. The Regional Director of Dining will collaborate closely with facility leadership, train staff on dining procedures and customer service, and support continuous improvement initiatives across all dining programs.
Qualifications
- Experience in food service management and dining operations leadership within healthcare, senior living, or related environments.
- Knowledge of nutrition, menu planning, and regulatory requirements related to healthcare dietary services.
- Strong skills in staff supervision, team development, and performance coaching across multiple locations.
- Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and oversee purchasing and inventory processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety, sanitation standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Effective communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills with internal teams and external partners.
- Proven capability to analyze operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
- Willingness to travel between facilities within the region as needed.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
