What are the responsibilities and job description for the LSW LCSW LPC LMFT - Private Practice Therapist position at Live Well & Bloom Therapy?
Licensed Therapist (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT) Private Practice | Part-Time | Hybrid
Media, PA
Hello! I’m looking for a therapist to join my private practice in Media, PA.
This is an intentional, trauma-informed practice where the work tends to be deeper and longer-term. Most clients come in after trying other types of therapy that didn’t quite get to what they needed. The focus here is on creating a space where they feel understood and can stay in the process long enough for real change to happen. I care a lot about how this work is done, including the relationship, the pace, and the respect for people’s experiences. Who you are as a therapist matters just as much as your clinical background.
This can be a good fit for either a fully licensed therapist who wants flexibility and independence, or an LSW working toward LCSW who is looking for more support including clinical supervision.
This position starts very part-time with flexibility to build your schedule as you desire. Some referrals are provided, and you’ll also play an active role in growing and maintaining your caseload.
The role
You’ll provide both individual and group therapy. Group work can be one of the most effective ways to build a caseload. A few in-person evening hours each week are expected. Outside of that, your schedule is flexible and largely self-directed.
Office space is available and you’re able to structure your work in a way that fits your life while still showing up consistently for clients. You may also work remotely from a secure, confidential location.
Expectations
This is a flexible role with a lot of independence, so you need to be able to manage your work without a lot of oversight while maintaining a high standard of care.
You’ll be responsible for keeping up with clinical documentation in a timely way, including notes, treatment plans, and required updates, and for staying within board requirements, licensing standards, and laws/ethics. You’re expected to maintain your schedule, show up consistently for clients, respond to communication in a reasonable timeframe, and stay organized in your day-to-day work. There will be times where care coordination is appropriate, and you should be comfortable reaching out and collaborating when it benefits the client.
You should also be open to feedback, engaged in your own growth as a clinician, and aware of your scope of practice, including when to seek consultation or additional support.
This role tends to work best for someone who is self-directed, dependable, and takes ownership of their work without needing a lot of external structure.
Clinical approach and values
Live Well & Bloom Therapy is rooted in trauma-informed care and a deep respect for the complexity of people’s lived experiences. It’s imperative that you are aligned with LGBTQ and neurodiversity-affirming care, and that you're thinking about culture, power, and systems in your work rather than focusing only on symptoms. A commitment to social justice, anti-oppressive practice, equity, and nondiscrimination should be reflected in how you think about clients and how you show up in the therapy room.
A lot of the work here goes deeper than talk therapy and basic coping skills. You need to be comfortable learning to work with trauma, identity, and relationship patterns. You don’t need to come in fully trained in everything, but there should be genuine interest in modalities such as EMDR, ACT, DBT, MBCT, and somatic work.
Support
For LSW clinicians working toward LCSW:
You’ll receive direct support and guidance. I provide clinical supervision and stay actively involved in your development as a therapist.
For fully licensed clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT):
This role offers a high level of independence. You’ll manage your own clinical work and schedule within the structure of the practice. You’ll have a high level of autonomy, with opportunities for consultation and connection within the practice.
Compensation
LSW (working toward LCSW): (W2 employee)
- $40-50 per clinical hour
- $25 per hour for administrative time, including supervision, marketing, care coordination, and program development
Fully licensed clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT): (1099 contract)

- This track does not include administrative pay or supervision
All roles begin part-time, with the ability to grow over time.
Requirement
- Master’s degree in social work or a related clinical field
- Pennsylvania LSW (or working toward it) or fully licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
