Duties
- Safely administer prescribed medications following all HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding—especially in memory care or dementia care settings
- Provide specialized support for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care
- Maintain accurate medical records and document medication administration, patient responses, and any changes in condition using Electronic Health System
- Perform catheter care, tube feeding assistance, and other specialized medical tasks under the supervision of nursing staff
- Support team members by adhering to safety protocols related to anatomy knowledge, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure high-quality patient care
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments preferred
- Familiarity with medical documentation procedures and EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration techniques and vital signs monitoring is essential
- Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or disabilities enhances your ability to provide compassionate support
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management ensures confidentiality and compliance
- Previous roles involving hospice or memory care demonstrate your ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
