Salary: $125,000 – $145,000

About the Role

Live Oak Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Department. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring quality care, compliance, and the professional growth of our nursing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all daily operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update nursing policies and procedures.

• Actively participate in the facility’s Quality Assurance Program to maintain the highest standards of resident care.

• Assist with surveys and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies.

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance, resident care, and adherence to standards.

• Address and resolve complaints or grievances from residents, families, and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
