Position: Activity Assistant
Location: Live Oak, FL
Shift: Full-Time | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Salary: $15 per hour
About the Role:
Live Oak Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Activity Assistant to bring joy, energy, and creativity to our residents’ daily lives. You will work closely with the Activities Director to plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging programs that support residents’ physical, social, and emotional well-being.
What You’ll Do:
Assist the Activities Director in creating and posting a monthly activity calendar in large print for residents and visitors.
Ensure each resident has a copy of the calendar in their room.
Interview residents and families to understand activity preferences and interests.
Help residents get to and from scheduled activities safely.
Assist in conducting programs that promote wellness, social engagement, and fun.
Document attendance and participation, including resident responses and progress notes.
Observe and report changes in resident mood, behavior, or engagement.
Encourage family and resident participation in activity planning whenever possible.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Valid CNA license/certification (preferred).
Minimum 1 year of experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting (preferred).
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Team player with a positive, compassionate attitude.
