THE JOB
Redrock Entertainment is looking for a full-time Project Director based out of our headquarters in downtown Burbank, California. Reporting to our Executive Vice President, the Project Director will lead the execution of multiple live event projects within the Redrock Live division, serving as both a production lead and a key client-facing partner. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across all phases of a project, from initial planning through execution and wrap, ensuring work is delivered seamlessly, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, comfortable working across teams, clients, and partners, and equally confident leading on-site as they are representing Redrock externally.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead multiple projects from pre-production through execution and wrap, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met
- Develop production plans, schedules, and technical advances, and oversee all phases including load-in, show days, and load-out
Client Management
- Serve as a primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships through clear communication and professional representation
Budgeting & Financial Collaboration
- Develop initial budgets and scopes, and partner with Project Accounting and Finance on tracking, changes, and reconciliation
- Balance cost efficiency with production quality in decision-making
Team, Vendor & Partner Leadership
- Lead production teams, freelancers, and crew, ensuring alignment and accountability
- Oversee vendor strategy and key relationships, with coordination supported by Production Coordinators
- Ensure all partners are aligned with project goals, timelines, and expectations
Creative & Technical Collaboration
- Partner with the Creative team to execute on project ideation and translate concepts into production
- Collaborate with designers and fabricators to deliver builds that meet aesthetic, operational, and budgetary requirements
- Oversee technical execution including staging, lighting, audio, and video
Cross-Functional Coordination & On-Site Leadership
- Coordinate across internal teams including Creative, Media, Safety, Finance and Operations to ensure alignment
- Lead on-site teams and proactively resolve issues to ensure safe, organized, and efficient execution
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- 7 to 10 years of experience in live event production, including premieres, brand activations, experiential events, or similar
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Proven ability to build and scope budgets
- Experience leading teams and managing vendors
- Strong understanding of technical production including staging, lighting, audio, and video
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-oriented
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed

The expected compensation for this position is:
$108,000.00 USD - $135,000.00 USD** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
