Duties
- Safely operate medical transport vehicles to transport patients and clients.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles, including routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, including those specific to paratransit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, or clients to coordinate schedules and address any special needs.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as loading wheelchairs or mobility aids into the vehicle.
- Ensure proper documentation of trips, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance records as required.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, no CDL required.
- No experience required.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed and handle physical aspects of transporting passengers with mobility aids.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on passenger comfort and safety.
- Clean driving record with the ability to pass background checks and any required drug screenings. This role is essential in providing dependable transportation services within the community while emphasizing safety, professionalism, and excellent customer care.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
