Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R systems, and high-voltage electrical systems
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and electrical blueprint reading
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks
- Operate specialized equipment such as scissor lifts for elevated repairs or maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols
- Perform welding tasks using welding techniques to repair or fabricate parts as needed
- Assist in field service operations by providing technical support to customers and ensuring equipment is functioning optimally in various environments
Experience
- Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and schematics reading
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management and documentation
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately for diagnostics and repairs
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician tasks, high voltage systems, and low voltage wiring
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing issues efficiently and implementing effective solutions
- Prior experience in field service roles or customer service environments is advantageous
- Certifications or training in welding ( welding), electrical diagnostics, HVAC/R systems, or related technical fields are preferred
- Military background or experience in engineering troubleshooting adds valuable perspective to the role
