Masonry Paver Foreman Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Masonry Paver Foreman to oversee and manage the installation of paver patios, walkways, driveways, and retaining walls. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on masonry and hardscaping experience, and the ability to read and interpret project plans to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a crew of masonry and paver installers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications.
- Layout and install pavers, retaining walls, and other masonry structures according to design.
- Ensure proper base preparation, compaction, and grading for paver installations.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including compactors, saws, and skid steers.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring work meets quality standards and deadlines.
- Train and mentor crew members in masonry and hardscaping techniques.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized job site.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in masonry, paver installation, or hardscaping.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading a crew in a construction or landscaping environment.
- Skills: Proficient in installing pavers, retaining walls, and other masonry structures.
- Equipment Knowledge: Ability to operate skid steers, compactors, and saws.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Licenses: A valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
- Certifications: ICPI and NCMA certifications preferred but not required.
