About the Role

At Liv Breads, our Retail Associates are the face of the bakery. They create memorable experiences by sharing their knowledge of our products, guiding guests through our menu, and ensuring every visit feels welcoming, seamless, and enjoyable. Through genuine hospitality, menu expertise, and a commitment to excellence, they help customers feel informed, appreciated, and excited to return.

We are looking for energetic, team-oriented individuals who genuinely enjoy hospitality, great food, and connecting with people. At Liv Breads, quality of service is just as important as quality of product. We believe that consistency, professionalism, teamwork, and respect for both customers and coworkers are the foundation of great hospitality.

All associates are expected to learn both guest-facing and operational responsibilities, including assisting guests with menu questions, taking orders through our POS system, packaging purchases, running food, bussing tables, and supporting bakery operations. Success in this role comes from being adaptable, engaged, and willing to jump in wherever the team needs support. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work at both our Millburn and Short Hills locations.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive experience from arrival to departure.
• Learn our extensive menu and confidently guide customers through bakery, café, and beverage offerings.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
• Pack takeaway orders with care and attention to detail.
• Prepare, restock, and maintain attractive bakery and retail displays.
• Heat and serve ready-to-eat menu items.
• Run food and beverages to tables and support smooth café operations.
• Bus and reset tables to ensure a clean and inviting environment for guests.
• Support opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the bakery and café, following a "clean as you go" philosophy.
• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation standards.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to deliver a consistent and exceptional guest experience.

Our specialty is artisan sourdoughs, laminated pastry, and fresh and creative seasonal sandwiches and salads.
