Role Description
Successful candidates will be responsible for precepting students in an inpatient general medicine advanced pharmacy practice experience where students apply their pharmaceutical knowledge to a variety of disease states. The faculty’s practice site will be one of the prestigious medical centers/hospitals within the five boroughs of New York City affiliated with the College of Pharmacy. Faculty responsibilities also include didactic teaching and providing clinical services at the practice site and service at the College. Faculty members are expected to build a portfolio of scholarly work within their area of interest.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship
- Expertise in clinical pharmacy practice and research in pharmacy practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Residency-trained (or possess comparable clinical experience)
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in both education and practice settings
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or a related terminal degree
- Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in New York
