Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages accurately and efficiently using espresso machines and other equipment
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience
- Operate POS systems such as Play Space Brain for order processing, payments, and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without sacrificing quality
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product levels
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in the food service industry, with strong coffee-making skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders smoothly during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in serving or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
