Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to perform mowing, edging, trimming, and debris removal efficiently.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, tree care including trimming and removal, and garden bed upkeep.
- Use hand tools and small machinery like excavators for hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, or retaining walls.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or blockages and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access to properties.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues related to horticulture health or landscape structure.
- Follow safety protocols when handling equipment like power tools or operating machinery such as excavators or tree care equipment.
Experience
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
- Basic mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care best practices is a plus.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators or snow plows is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards.
