The Senior Account Director is responsible for identifying opportunities for Littlefield Agency to grow our clients’ businesses. This position acts as a consultant to clients, focusing on building relationships and identifying opportunities to solve client problems. The consultative approach means prioritizing client business needs above all else.


This position requires 7 to 10 years of experience in agency account management or strategic marketing. Job responsibilities include:


Client and Industry

·     Nurture relationships with our strategic marketing client partners.

·     Develop a deep understanding for the client business, particularly the most important drivers of sales or profit.

·     Study the competitive environment from a standpoint of product offerings, points of differentiation and marketing campaigns.

·     Stay versed in customer and consumer insight, usually through secondary research and in-field observations.

·     Apply insights to identify opportunities for the client to win. Opportunities may or may not be related to marketing and advertising.


Strategy and Planning 

·     Lead annual marketing and media planning process.

·     Write creative messaging briefs and download internal teams.

·     Identify the most important product / service features and be able to translate features into customer benefits. 

·     Engage client and agency analyst to ensure campaign objectives and methods of measurement are defined and reported.

·     Identify areas where we can test and optimize media mix and creative messaging to drive campaign performance.

·     Stay well versed in media strategy, including which media channels and new technology are best utilized to accomplish specific goals.

·     Work with Client Engagement Director on brand positioning initiatives.


 Execution

·     Lead client kick-off meetings to ensure input is thorough, strategic and understood by the team.

·     Write proposals and scopes of work for strategic initiatives.

·     Review work for strategic accuracy.

·     Critically review client feedback based on agreed-upon strategy.

·     Review monthly media and production billing with agency billing manager.

·     Work with Client Engagement Director on pricing and account profitability.

·     Collaborate regularly with project managers on deliverables such as project estimates, timelines and client expectations. 


The Senior Account Director position reports to the Client Engagement Director. The right candidate will be able to share past experiences that are consistent with our company values:
