As a Senior Experiential Graphic Designer, you will collaborate with a BXP Design Principal / Art Directors and transdisciplinary teams to lead the design and implementation of branded communications, user experiences, and wayfinding solutions for national and international clients.
Role Overview:
- Lead the design process for small to medium scale experiential graphic and wayfinding projects from concept through implementation
- Translate art direction into multiple compelling design solutions that align with client brand, user experience, and project goals
- Establish clear design intent and ensure consistency and quality across all phases of work
- Lead and present design concepts to clients with minimal oversight
- Actively participate in and help lead client meetings, presentations, and conference calls
- Manage project scope and execute work within budgeted timeframes and design expectations
- Coordinate with project managers and operations to meet project performance goals
- Source and coordinate directly with vendors, contractors, and trade partners for pricing, fabrication, and installation
- Provide direction and mentorship to junior designers on project work
- Actively collaborate with peers across disciplines to develop holistic design solutions
- Promote a positive and accountable team environment
- Stay current on design, communication, and industry trends
- Participate in firm initiatives outside of client work that strengthen cross-disciplinary relationships
Ideal Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field and/or a bachelor’s degree in a design-related discipline
- Proven ability to lead projects from ideation through completion
- Strong skills in ideation, conceptualizing, and translating strategy into built experience
- Strong skills in typography, composition, layout, and information design
- Ability to both lead independently and collaborate effectively across disciplines
- Experience presenting to clients and clearly articulating design decisions
- Strong knowledge of sign and environmental graphics production materials and methods
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop specifically)
Other Great Assets for this Position:
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers
- Print, logo, packaging, and/or product design
- Illustration and/or calligraphy skills
- Web and/or interactive design
- Knowledge of SketchUp, CAD Tools, SignAgent, Revit, and/or 3D modeling software
