Overview:
Little Wings Preschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher( or Assistant) to join our team for the summer at our location in Atascadero. As a Preschool Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in support our lead teachers and creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners. We are an inclusive school so you will be supporting children from a variety of backgrounds and needs.
Responsibilities:
- Helping Lead a classroom of 12-15 preschool children, fostering their growth and development.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to the children's interests and developmental needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate effectively with other teachers and teacher assistants to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with both children and colleagues.
- Show enthusiasm for working with young children and exhibit a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6-12 units in early childhood education or child development, or equivalent qualifications.
- Child and Infant CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and childhood development.
- Ability to provide specialized care for toddlers, including physical education activities.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and special education practices.
- Strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices.
- Experience in tutoring or supporting children's educational needs.
