Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and family friendly physical therapist to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in play-based pediatric physical therapy with the 0-3 population, with experience in hands-on techniques a plus. This job is for a mobile pediatric physical therapist to travel to the homes of our kiddos in North Orange County (Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Newport). This would start as a position that would take on overflow clients as desired (3-10 visits/week) and cover additional clientele on sick/vacation days, with the potential to grow into a part time position depending on case load. The job is very flexible, allowing you to accept as few or as many clients as you would like, only in locations you wish to travel to, and with control over your own scheduling.
Hours will depend on need and therapist availability. Applicants who are eligible for $105/visit must have their own physical therapy business established with malpractice insurance and can be hired as a 1099 employee.
Requirements
- Valid California state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist
- History of working with pediatrics, especially infants, in any setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with kiddos, families, and healthcare teams
- Positive attitude and willingness to be flexible
- Willing to travel to the homes of clients and families
- Valid driver's license, with an insured and registered vehicle that is dependable
- Familiarity with California's Early Start programs
Responsibilities
- Guide families through the pediatric evaluation and treatment processes
- Develop and modify plans of care as appropriate for each child
- Support families and prioritize education on how best to support their child in both physical and overall development
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and overall function incorporating a play-based approach and hands-on techniques
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and the other members of the early start teams
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay updated on best practices in pediatric physical therapy and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Salary : $105
