Job Summary
Little Voices, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in patients, particularly children. This role involves working closely with patients and their families to develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills and enhance their quality of life. Ideally, this therapist will be comfortable traveling into the community to serve children birth to 18.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement tailored speech therapy programs based on individual patient needs.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to inform treatment strategies.
- Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to enhance communication skills at home.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure and ASHA certification as a Speech Language Pathologist or a strong CFY Applicant
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to speech production and physiology.
- Experience working in home settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with pediatric care and early intervention strategies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Compassionate approach towards patient and family care with a focus on improving quality of life.
