Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, excavators, and power tools safely and efficiently
- Support installation of hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing necessary repairs or adjustments
- Identify various plants and trees to ensure proper care and health; assist with tree trimming and pruning projects
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries
- Assist with snow plowing or winter maintenance tasks as needed to keep properties accessible during inclement weather
Requirements
- Previous outdoor work experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or construction is highly preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, planting, pruning, and pest management
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and grounds equipment operation
- Ability to identify different plants, trees, and horticultural elements; basic knowledge of plant care is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping machinery such as excavators or snow plows is advantageous
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times during outdoor activities
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects and operate equipment safely
- Valid experience with tree care techniques including trimming and pruning; construction experience is beneficial
