Ice Cream Server

Summer Server Positions Available May 10- Sept 10

We are hiring for the summer Season. At this time we are looking for Spring and Summer staff. We have positions starting as soon as Early May or as late as Early June.

You are the face of Little Truckee Ice Creamery. If you enjoy working with others and have a customer first focus, creating happy customers, this job is for you. We are looking for upbeat, social, customer oriented and energetic servers. This is a high paced job in summer (slower in Winter) scooping ice cream, making coffee drinks, and keeping a clean and organized shop. You will be overseeing the service area, which includes duties of customer service, credit and cash transaction and inventory management.

Requirements

• Must be able to work at least 3 days or more a week Starting around May 20 until after Labor Day Weekend. We prefer 4 days a week and must be available Memorial Day weekend, 4th or July week and Labor Day Weekend.
• Must have your own transportation (there is a bus and micro transport, but make sure it works for you.)
• Must have or obtain a food handlers card (very easy and inexpensive to get online).
• Able to stand at counter for 5 plus hours and be able to scoop ice cream (yes, breaks are available)
• Be able to work the entire store front alone or with others.
• Be punctual, show up to work and ready to provide excellent customer service.
• Basics math skills and detailed oriented to handle cash transactions
• Must be a Sophomore in High School or older.

Duties

• Pre-shift Service area setup(Inventory, Cash Reconciliation, Set-up)
• Customer Service (friendly, accommodating, and upbeat)
• Cashier- for cash, credit card, register application knowledge
• Scooping Ice Cream to appropriate size
• Making Coffee Drinks (Espresso Machine)
• Stocking Ice Cream and Service Materials
• Cleaning: Indoor Service Area, Outdoor Area, Dishes, Restrooms
• Keeping Shop Organized and Clean
• Closing Procedures(Cash Reconciliation, Clean and shut down store front)
• Taking out Trash, Recycling, Sweep, Mop and Clean Service Area
• Assist with small kitchen duties, Ice Cream making, kitchen organization and cleaning
• Prepare store front for the following day following the steps above

Shifts and Hours

• Available shifts and compensation: We are open 7 days a week.
• Shifts are 11:30-5:30pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm or 5:00pm-10:00pm
• Shifts may be different before Memorial Day and after Labor day weekend.
