Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior management.
- Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Engage with children through interactive play, educational exercises, and developmental assessments to encourage growth.
- Follow all health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures to ensure a secure environment.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute classroom routines that support childhood development milestones.
Skills
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, especially infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid or related health & safety training, or will to optain certification
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and teamwork within the daycare setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
