Duties
- Assist lead teachers and caregivers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills.
- Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and environments to meet their individual needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster social skills, creativity, and cognitive development.
- Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform ongoing care strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's daily experiences and developmental progress.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
- Certified in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies.
- Experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Ability to manage behavior positively through effective behavior management techniques.
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
- Classroom experience or daycare background demonstrating familiarity with childcare routines.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities to support inclusive learning environments.
