What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Center Director (Start Up Program) position at Little Steps Academy?
We are in the early stages of opening a new licensed child care center in Concord, NH and are seeking an experienced Child Care Director to help lead and shape the program from the ground up.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leadership, organization, and collaboration, and who is excited about building a high-quality, supportive early learning environment. Licensing is currently in progress, and we are thoughtfully planning staffing, enrollment, and operations. We are now accepting resumes during the planning phase. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as a Director, Assistant Director, or Lead Teacher in a licensed child care setting
- Knowledge of New Hampshire Child Care Licensing rules
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and team development.
- Must be reliable, dependable, and a strong team player who is also comfortable taking initiative and working independently behind the scenes.
