Duties
- Lead and manage a preschool classroom, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise children during activities such as playtime, meals, naps, and learning exercises to ensure safety and engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents during the school year about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates.
- Coordinate activity planning tailored to various age groups including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills among children.
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive educational environment that supports the holistic growth of each child.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or youth programs teaching experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to care for infants through elementary school-age children with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Strong activity planning skills for children across different age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; or willing to get certified
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
