Responsibilities
- Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive, organized learning environment aligned with Montessori principles
- Assist lead educators in preparing and facilitating age-appropriate activities that promote exploration, independence, and creativity
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies
- Foster inclusive participation by working with children of diverse backgrounds and developmental needs, including those requiring special education support
- Maintain clear communication with staff and parents regarding children's progress and behavior management strategies
- Support the overall camp operations by helping with setup, cleanup, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or youth programs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain prior to camp start date
- Experience with classroom management and early childhood education methods preferred
- Ability to engage children through creative activities such as arts, theater, sports coaching or storytelling
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and collaboration
- Previous camp experience or working with students in educational or recreational settings is a plus
