Responsibilities
- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as an early childhood educator
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Friendly, reliable and LOVING!
- Certification in child CPR (will train)
Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children (Preferred)
- OR a degree with 30 credits in early childhood education OR an associate's degree in early childhood education.
