What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Assistant Teacher position at Little Sprouts Childcare Center?
Little Sprouts Childcare Center is hiring a part-time Assistant Teacher for our infant and toddler program, starting after September 28, 2026.
Pay: $14/hour to start, with a pay review after 90 days and the opportunity for an increase.
This is primarily an afternoon position, approximately 1:00–6:00 p.m., with the opportunity for additional hours over time.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with infants and toddlers, works well with a small teaching team, and takes their responsibilities seriously. Reliability matters, and we want someone our team can count on.
Our program focuses on respectful, responsive care and seeing children as capable people. You’ll help care for infants and toddlers, support their daily routines, and work alongside the other teachers in the classroom.
This position can grow into a full-time lead position in summer or fall 2027. We will pay for the state-required courses you need to become lead-qualified.
Qualifications:
- Wisconsin Assistant Teacher qualifications preferred
- Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred
- Able to work well with a small teaching team
- Reliable and responsible
