Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate pediatric Occupational Therapist, with feeding therapy experience, to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with patients and families to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. You will assess patient needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions in various settings, including home based and clinic based care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ developmental skills to determine their occupational therapy needs.
- Develop individualized care plans that address the specific goals and challenges of each patient.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies for daily living.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with medical standards.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational health, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and speech therapy.
Skills
- Pediatric experience
- Pediatric feeding therapy experience
- Preferred SOS Feeding Certification, but not required
- Experience in discharge planning and case management within a healthcare setting.
- Background in early intervention strategies for children is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
