Our beautiful BRAND NEW and state-of-the-art pediatric practice in Franklin, TN is excited to welcome a full-time Pediatric Dental Assistant to our energetic, kid-friendly dental team! We’re looking for someone with 1–3 years of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a pediatric or general dentistry setting, who is also certified in coronal polishing. Our dream candidate is upbeat, outgoing, and knows how to make kids (and their parents!) feel at ease from the moment they walk through the door. You should be a true team player with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a heart for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients.
- Clearly and effectively communicate treatment needs, post op instructions and home care education to patients and parents.
- Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort.
- Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment.
- Assist the Dentist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry.
- Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed.
- Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient’s chart.
- Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed.
- Assist with other office duties as requested or needed.
Skills:
- Proven experience as Dental Assistant MUST HAVE 1-3 YEARS EXPERIENCE.
- Coronal polishing
- Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach.
- Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule.
- Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule.
- Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily.
- Great attention to detail and follow through.
- Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedures.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
