What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Provider position at Little Smiles & Company Child Care Center?

We’re currently hiring for part or full-time positions for an infant (ages 6 weeks - 24 months) room teacher and a floater teacher (infant and big room).
Duties:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children in a childcare setting which includes feeding, diapering, toileting, and napping
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Encourage positive behavior and good manners
- Help develop age-appropriate activities to provide educational experiences and build socialization skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom or daycare area
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians providing updates on child's progress
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Clear a criminal background check
- Certification in Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter Training and Essentials Preservice Training (paid training available if completed within first 3 months of employment)
- Certification in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid (paid training available if competed within first 3 months of employment)
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving, nannying, preschool, or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies for children ages 6 weeks - 5 years
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Note: Babysitting experience may be considered as relevant experience for this position.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
