What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Little Sicily?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or seating areas
- Provide menus and assist guests with any questions or special requests
- Manage waitlist and seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate as necessary
- Assist with taking reservations and managing the reservation system
- Process guest payments using the POS system
-Cleaning tables, answering phone calls, being able to multitask
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong customer service skills to provide exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to answer phone orders
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
