Early Childhood Teacher- Infant/Toddler/Pre-School

Little Scholars School is currently looking for dedicated Educators to provide high-quality early childhood education and care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role focuses on delivering exceptional early learning experiences, requiring patience, compassion, responsibility, strong organizational skills, and a solid background in childhood development.

Position Description An Educator delivers high-quality instruction, designs engaging and creative learning activities, supports cognitive and social-emotional development, and fosters positive peer interactions in a nurturing classroom environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivers intentional, high-quality early learning curricula tailored to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Curriculum is provided for the Educator to prepare.
• Monitors all children in the classroom to ensure safety, well-being, and positive behavior.
• Designs and implements creative craft projects and educational activities.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
• Supervises children closely during outdoor play.
• Guides positive social interactions and resolves peer disputes constructively.
• Applies appropriate positive guidance and behavioral strategies when necessary.
• Provides consistent, professional updates to parents regarding children’s academic and developmental progress.
• Administers first aid and comfort when children are sick, homesick, or upset.
• Facilitates foundational learning activities focused on early literacy, language, and the alphabet.
• Coordinates and oversees restful nap and rest times.
• Provides attentive, nurturing care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing.
• Assists with mentoring, training, and overseeing teacher's assistants.
• Responds swiftly and calmly to emergencies, contacting parents immediately when necessary.
• Communicates professionally with families to answer inquiries and discuss child progress.

Education and Experience Candidates must hold at least a high school diploma, with a Degree or specialized credential in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred. Applicants must have previous experience teaching and working with young children, preferably in a structured preschool, childcare, or classroom setting as a teacher's assistant or lead educator.
