Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Director to lead our preschool's educational programs. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with a history in early childhood education. You will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a high-quality, research-based curriculum that meets the needs of young children and aligns with state standards.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of teachers and staff to excel in their roles and provide outstanding education and care to children.
- Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, budget management, and maintenance of the facility to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with families, ensuring open communication and involvement in their children's education.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to early childhood education.
- Continuously assess and improve the program's effectiveness, implementing changes as needed to enhance educational outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay abreast of the latest research and trends in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- NYS Teaching Certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role.
- Strong understanding of child development, early childhood education best practices, and curriculum development.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and engage with families.
- Proficiency in managing budgets, scheduling, and operational aspects of a preschool.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
