Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervises and works with crew on jobs assigned.
- Trains crew and completes monthly checks.
- Performs safety checks each piece of equipment before starting job.
- Operates various types of equipment as required.
- Maintains and accounts for all tools, equipment, and fleet used.
- Keeps all work sites neat and orderly.
- Completes daily reports.
- Assists in general upkeep of company buildings and grounds on a regular basis.
- Maintains a good driving record.
- Follows safety practices and guidelines at all times, including wearing proper personal protective/safety equipment.
- Follows established work procedures and practices.
- Assists in structuring preventive maintenance cleaning schedules in assigned area as required.
- Undertakes any reasonable request within capabilities that is good for the community and the Utility.
- Assumes the role of Project Team Leader in the absence of the Capital Crew Leader CDL.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience & Training
- Four years of experience in the maintenance and operation of construction and/ or cleaning equipment.
- Prefer one year experience as Equipment Operator CDL.
- Must have valid Arkansas commercial driver's license (Class A).
- Must have or obtain CDL tanker endorsement within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of construction and/or cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of sewer line construction, repair, cleaning, and/or rehabilitation.
- Ability to follow and communicate through verbal, written, diagrammed and phone instructions.
- Ability to read and work from plans and blueprints.
- Ability to supervise a crew and evaluate performance.
- Ability to remove and replace manhole lids, climb in and out manholes, and work with tools and equipment.
- Must have home telephone or reliable telephone contact for call out situations.
- Ability to work in weather and terrain extremes.
- Ability to complete reports and forms.
- Ability to train crew personnel in job requirements.
- Ability to drive standard transmission vehicle.
- Ability to meet and maintain attendance requirements.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to be available for on-call weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Will be certified through on the job training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), and Gas Detector.
