Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of electronic systems for treatment plants, pump stations, and any other LRW buildings and facilities.  Minimum Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receives work assignments from supervisor and reviews work steps with supervisor when necessary.
  • Efficiently follow oral and written instructions.
  • Reports possible problems in the facilities, grounds, or any other area related to the Utility, based on observations while completing assigned tasks.
  • Reports unsafe and/or hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Cleans tools and equipment and returns to proper storage area.
  • Keeps all work sites in a neat orderly manner including storage areas.
  • Maintains records, makes reports, and completes works orders and helpdesk requests as required.
  • Completes a daily maintenance job report.
  • Operates and cares for Utility equipment and property according to requirements.
  • Requests equipment and parts required in support of Instrumentation systems.
  • Assures that all materials purchased or from stock are recorded and processed correctly.
  • Performs skilled tasks in accordance with standard practices to include installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of LRW equipment.
  • Follows established work procedures and practices.
  • Follows safety practices and guidelines at all times, including wearing proper personal protective/safety equipment due to possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, flammable liquids, biological hazards, toxic/flammable compressed gases and confined spaces.
  • Undertakes any reasonable request within capabilities that is for the good of the community and LRW.

This position has been evaluated as to whether a momentary lapse of attention may result in grave and immediate danger to the employee, coworkers, or the public.   If the designation is yes, the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act (AMMA) of 2016 will govern working conditions.  If no, the AMMA will not apply to the position.
This position has been evaluated as to the mandated wearing of a company uniform during working hours

Assist Mechanics and Electricians with repairs and preventive maintenance on control systems and related.Install, test, maintain, and repair cabling systems and other network elements required in support of computer infrastructure.Program, install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot all LRW programmable logic controllers.
Read and understand wiring diagrams, schematic manuals, and blueprints of electronic equipment installationsTrain and guide all Instrumentation Tech I personnel.Evaluate, design, and acquire material to complete project assignments.
Test and inspect equipment alarms during plant walk-thru maintenance.

Efficiently operate a digital voltmeter.

Efficiently operate the HMI software for SCADA system.

Efficiently maintain portable gas detectors and perform software downloads.
