Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to different age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and social-emotional development
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful space for all students
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
- Plan and lead educational activities that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods where appropriate
- Maintain detailed records of student development, attendance, lesson plans, and assessments to ensure compliance with educational standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience in curriculum development tailored to preschool and daycare settings
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or requiring early intervention
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring strategies to support academic growth
- Knowledge of Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education is highly desirable
- Experience working in private schools or daycare centers is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development
