Little Peoples Child Care is now hiring a part-time experienced Child Care Assistant for our Preschool/Toddler classrooms in Albany, OR!
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
- Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
- Meal prep and serving for up to 16 children
- End of day cleaning and sanitizing
- Able to assist in preschool prep and teaching
- Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children
- Supervising and care for the physical and emotional wellbeing of our infants and toddlers in the infant/toddler room.
Qualifications:
- Passion for early childhood education
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- A genuine desire to help children achieve their full potential
- Must have open availability, Monday through Friday 5:30 AM-5:30 PM as the schedule changes
- Detail oriented
- Ability to cook for a large group
- Ability to multitask quickly
- Ability to pass a criminal background check through The Department of Early Learning and Care
- Ability to plan and carry out daily activities with children
- Ability to obtain a Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Ability and willing to take a few classes including but not limited to Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Aid
- Ability to Clean quickly and efficiently
- Dependability
- Must have infant and toddler experience.
