Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate infant Teacher to join our team.( this is an 8am-5pm postion)The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Child Care Teacher will work closely with children of various ages, including toddlers, and will be responsible for implementing engaging activities that support learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with developmental milestones.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere.
- Provide individual attention to children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities as necessary.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the classroom and play areas at all times.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain health and safety standards in accordance with regulations.
Requirements
Must be 18 yrs of age with GED/ Highschool diploma
the ideal candidate, must have childcare exp dealing with infants ...
- Proven experience in a childcare setting or related field (babysitting, toddler care).
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Classroom management skills with the ability to engage children effectively.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- First aid certification is preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
- A nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for teaching and caring for young children.
