Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and classroom instruction to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development through active supervision and positive behavior management.
- Provide individualized support to students with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Help maintain a well-organized classroom environment that promotes safety, cleanliness, and accessibility for all children.
- Implement curriculum activities aligned with educational standards such as Montessori or preschool frameworks.
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education and care.
- Cover multiple classrooms as needed, providing flexible support across different age groups including toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, school settings, or similar environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math fundamentals, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Experience in classroom management and creating inclusive environments that support early childhood education standards such as Montessori or preschool methodologies.
