Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Director/Assistant Group Supervisor to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist the director in overseeing daily classroom activities and ensuring smooth operation of the program
- Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance on curriculum implementation, classroom management, and behavior strategies
- Engage actively with children to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to health and safety policies, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Support staff in documenting developmental progress and communicating effectively with parents or guardians
- Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing regulations, including record-keeping and environmental standards
- The Assistant Director will spend mornings leading a room and spend most afternoons in an administration role.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or early childhood education programs
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare and classroom management
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers through nannying, babysitting, or teaching roles
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and community partners
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and energetic approach
