The Role: Director of Entertainment & Private Client Sales
This is not a traditional hotel sales role. As Director of Entertainment & Private Client Sales, you’ll serve as both a strategic architect and a master connector—crafting deeply personalized experiences for the world’s most discerning travelers. You will lead the entertainment and VIP segment strategy, positioning Little Palm Island as the premier destination for private island buyouts, ultra-luxury retreats, and exclusive leisure escapes.
You’ll work closely with executive assistants, celebrity handlers, high-end travel advisors, and influential gatekeepers to cultivate enduring relationships rooted in trust, discretion, and shared excellence.
Please note: We are open to this role working remotely and travel to the property as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Entertainment & VIP Group Sales
- Identify and secure high-value group and private island buyouts for entertainment industry clients, productions, agencies, and elite private groups.
- Lead contract negotiations ensuring profitability, alignment with resort standards, and tailored client service.
Luxury Transient & Private Client Sales
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with personal assistants, management companies, elite travel advisors, and private concierges.
- Expand our reach through new partnerships with vetted travel gatekeepers across entertainment, luxury lifestyle, and UHNW circles.
Strategic Business Development
- Design and execute segment-specific sales strategies to drive revenue and elevate brand positioning.
- Represent Little Palm Island at highly curated trade shows, client activations, and invitation-only networking events.
- Partner with key stakeholders (Relais & Châteaux, Noble House Hotels & Resorts, Hidden Doorways, etc.) to uncover aligned opportunities.
Client Experience & Internal Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Area DOS, Events, and Operations to deliver flawless, high-touch programs with absolute discretion.
- Personally host key clients for immersive site visits, FAMs, and on-island activations that reflect the island’s rare charm.
- Be a discreet and trusted point of contact for VIP guests and entertainment industry decision-makers.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce/Delphi; manage a dynamic pipeline of prospects and key accounts.
- Deliver regular insights on client preferences, industry trends, and booking behavior to inform ongoing strategy.
Requirements
You've got this covered, if you have:
- Minimum 5–7 years of luxury hotel sales experience, with a proven record of success in entertainment, consortia, or private client segments.
- Established network of contacts in entertainment and UHNW travel circles.
- Deep understanding of entertainment industry dynamics, privacy protocols, and high-level decision-making structures.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail and ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder accounts.
- Proficiency in Salesforce/Delphi and Microsoft Office Suite; Infor HMS a plus.
- Ability to travel for on-island activations, client meetings, and luxury trade events.
