Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating curriculum development, literacy education, math, physical education, and library services.
- Lead classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, conflict management, behavior management, and inclusive practices for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or academic interventions.
- Utilize assessment-driven instruction techniques and learning technology tools to monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, including student performance data analysis.
- Implement multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) strategies to provide targeted academic and behavioral interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff on instructional design, teacher collaboration initiatives, and educational compliance to ensure high-quality classroom experiences.
- Manage classroom environment effectively through classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and safe childcare practices.
- Engage families through regular communication about child development milestones, progress reports, and educational advising.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching young children in preschool or early childhood settings, including classroom experience with toddlers or preschoolers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and Montessori or other specialized teaching methodologies.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs; familiarity with assessment tools and academic interventions is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans incorporating literacy, math, physical activity, and library services; proficiency in instructional design is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families; ability to manage conflict professionally.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms such as LMS (Learning Management System) tools for tracking student progress.
- Knowledge of educational compliance regulations relevant to preschool settings; experience working in private school environments is advantageous.
- Ability to analyze quantitative data related to student progress for informed instructional decision-making.
